This is an Omaha institution known for rectangle Omaha style pizza. We had the classic hamburger that comes with onions and special seasonings. Covered in beef with your choice of the traditional all romano with its strong flavor, familiar mozzarella or half and half. We chose half & half. Good balance of ingredients. Crust is crispy from edge to edge.
We also ordered dinner salads. Menu said mixed greens, roma tomatoes, red onions, black olives. Our salads were a bowl of iceberg and a pepperonicini. Lettuce was fresh, but less then we expected.
Picked up a couple cannelloni. The plain one was delicious the chocolate covered was okay, not bad but not exceptional.
At this location you order at the counter and find a table. Cashier was friendly. We ate on the patio and enjoyed the evening.
Since when was It okay for a cook to send out burnt food? I don't mind a little toasting of the dough, however this DEFINITELY had a burnt taste. If you weren't charging the highest price around for pizza I'd be less disappointed in your restaurant. When you demand this much money for a pizza you better do it right or you'll be outed to the public via online reviews. Way to go guys!
Aside from their inability to serve me a properly cooked pizza the atmosphere is unique. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice and very friendly staff.
I loves me some La Casa, especially when there is fried ravioli involved. I cannot believe I forgot to take food pics, but that's how good it looked and smelled when it got to the table! I have also sprung for cannolis in the past and although a bit pricey, they are excellent. This was the first time I had seen the chocolate shells, so I look forward to trying those next time.
La Casa food truck came to our work last week and it was really good! I tried the pepperoni pizza and toasted ravioli with marinara sauce. Delish and the guys manning the truck were super sweet too!
Worse pizza I ever had. No taste, small proportions hardly any ingredients. Onion rings were greasy and under cooked for $14.50. Really! Absolutely no quality pizza served. Go to Mama's pizza for a truly pizza & onion rings (only $8.50 there) experience. Lower prices and loaded ingredients.
La Casa is a favorite of my wife’s. She grew up eating this and it’s nostalgic. Tonight we ordered a half-baked pizza to go, to be picked up at 5. I arrived right around 5 to pick it up and decided to sit at the bar and have a beer quick before I took the pizza home. I came in, sat at the bar, while 4 teenagers just stared at me. I sat for 10 minutes. Everyone just kind of looked around like no one has ever in history sat at their bar. They were clearly unprepared for this possibility. No one said hi. No said anything. Now, maybe they were too young to serve alcohol. I get it. But they were not too young to tell me they’d get someone old enough. Or to say something at all. This wasn’t really their fault though. They were not trained to anticipate someone sitting at the bar. Or really to smile and say hi. So this is on you, La Casa. The pizza is fine. My wife loves it so we’ll get it again. But I’ll remember that the bar is just for show.
Ordered penne with garlic cream sauce, toasted ravioli, and tiramisu to go, and a coworker got lasagna. Overall excellent! We ended up waiting about 20 mins after our pick up time because they had just gotten slammed. Totally understandable! I will say unfortunately that I was missing my cheesy bread and she was missing her salad but even still, no complaints! The food was delicious, staff was excellent, and we will definitely be back!
One of our favorite pizza places! We decided to switch it up and got the Peppi’s potato pizza. It was good but my boyfriend and I both prefer the original hamburger pizza. The Peppi Potato has good flavor but it almost reminded me of a pot pie. I tried one of their chocolate cannolis and it was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. This is also one of the cleanest restaurants in Omaha. Check them out!
